How to use this calculator

Adjust the inputs to your own scenario, then review the result alongside the assumptions below. The $ symbol is a currency label; the tool does not convert exchange rates.

Worked example

A $100 long entry with a 2% stop and 6% target gives $98 and $106.

The formula

Long stop = entry × (1 − stop %); long target = entry × (1 + target %). Reverse the signs for shorts.

What the result means

Compare the output with the stated assumptions. Changing an input changes the arithmetic; it does not establish how a real trade or investment will perform.

Assumptions and limitations

Price levels only; does not place orders. Stop execution can differ from the stop price. Short targets cannot be zero or negative.
