How to use this calculator
Adjust the inputs to your own scenario, then review the result alongside the assumptions below. The $ symbol is a currency label; the tool does not convert exchange rates.
Worked example
A $1,000 bond with 5% coupons priced at 5% yield is worth $1,000 on a coupon date.
The formula
Bond price = sum(coupon per period ÷ (1 + yield/frequency)^period) + face ÷ (1 + yield/frequency)^periods.
What the result means
Compare the output with the stated assumptions. Changing an input changes the arithmetic; it does not establish how a real trade or investment will perform.
Assumptions and limitations
Regular fixed coupons, integer coupon periods, valuation on a coupon date, redemption at face. Excludes accrued interest, default, calls, taxes, fees, and irregular coupons.
