Video: Price Action Rules Combined Produce A+ Trades

The Big Idea
Thomas Wade’s session shows why several individually reasonable observations can still fail to form a good trade. A support-to-resistance retest, EMA location, channel interpretation, signal bar, and available target space need to belong to the same current market hypothesis. The process includes waiting when that hypothesis is unclear or has already played out.
The First Decision Can Be to Ignore the Congestion
The source begins with overnight and prior-session bullish movement but does not buy every local candle. It identifies a congestion area with the EMA in the middle and declines to force an entry. Directional background and immediate trade eligibility are different decisions.
A chart can contain many bars and still provide little useful structure. Overanalyzing each candle can conceal the larger question: what pattern is currently established, what should it do next, and what evidence would contradict it? The source repeatedly returns to that question as the session changes.
The recap is not a complete independently verified trade record. Its A+ and high-probability labels describe the creator’s judgments. The transcript does not provide a complete labeled population or calculation establishing a numerical success rate.
Channel Geometry Must Be Defined Before the Outcome
The creator considers narrower and wider channels, rejecting some because they leave substantial empty space or fail to connect meaningful swings. A third swing can confirm a line originally suggested by two. That confirmation arrives later; it cannot be used to justify an earlier entry retroactively.
He also distinguishes an ongoing trend from a correction inside another structure. That interpretation changes how a channel is drawn and whether a new extreme is expected. Save each version and its timestamp so adaptation remains visible instead of becoming a final perfect channel drawn over the whole day.
The source’s geometry is qualitative. The companion indicator does not quietly claim to reproduce it with a moving average or regression line. It isolates one level-and-EMA retest component while leaving the channel judgment for manual review.
| Layer | Source question | A measurement needed for a mechanical study |
|---|---|---|
| Channel | Does the structure fit meaningful swings? | Anchor and confirmation rules, with timing. |
| Cycle stage | Has break-plus-new-extreme behavior played out? | An explicit completion definition. |
| Location | Are broken support, EMA, and trendline nearby? | Allowed distances and data available then. |
| Signal | Is the bar suitable and the trigger present? | Body, wick, size, and activation conditions. |
| Room | Can the proposed scalp fit before an obstacle? | Entry-to-obstacle distance after realistic execution. |
Overshoot Changes Eligibility Without Forcing an Opposite Trade
The session’s strong advance creates difficult channel interpretations and substantial overshoot. The creator then watches the correction before switching toward a bearish hypothesis. A deeper retracement is part of his evidence; it is not a universal ratio that guarantees a reversal.
The same logic appears later after a bearish overshoot. The source postpones shorts while the counter-move releases momentum, but does not automatically buy simply because the market is extended. Waiting is a distinct response from reversing direction.
The transcript includes strong frequency language about a new cycle after certain extremes. Without a complete sample and definitions, those remain source claims rather than established probabilities. A study should preserve continued trends that violate the expected cycle, not explain them away after the fact.
Three Entry Locations Can Overlap Without Becoming Independent Proof
The highlighted short combines broken support acting as resistance, the EMA, and a trendline, alongside a second-entry interpretation. Those observations organize a favorable location in the creator’s framework. They can also be related products of the same price history rather than independent evidence whose probabilities multiply.
The source emphasizes that the first two swings suggest the line and another confirms it. It also distinguishes a pullback that breaks structure from selling immediately into nearby lows. Location is more than the statement that price touched an average.
Our code keeps the broken-support and EMA overlap. It omits trendline confirmation and exact second-entry counting because the complete reset and swing-count rules are not specified here. It labels that omission rather than calling a simple retest the full A+ setup.
Room to Scalp Is a Price Calculation
A technically attractive location can offer too little space
These original short proposals use entry 100 and stop 100.50, omitting fees, spread, and slippage.
| Step | Observation or calculation | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| Nearby support at 99.80 | Potential reward 0.20 against risk 0.50 | Only 0.4R before the first obstacle. |
| Further objective at 98.50 | Potential reward 1.50 | Nominal 3R, but price must first pass 99.80. |
| Hypothetical fill at 99.90 | Risk to 100.50 becomes 0.60; space to 99.80 only 0.10 | About 0.17R to that same nearby support. |
| A narrow-looking signal bar | Does not move the obstacle | The chart label cannot restore missing room. |
The source rejects several lower highs because they would sell directly into nearby lows. That is a different filter from whether the bearish trend is strong. A method can correctly expect lower prices over time while still rejecting the current entry economics.
The indicator does not automatically identify the next meaningful downside obstacle or enforce this room filter. Its markers must therefore be read with a separately recorded target-space decision. It would be misleading to claim every marker passes the source’s full permission process.
Signal Quality Can Deteriorate While You Wait
The recap discusses bullish signal bars for shorts, double-bar entries, missing triggers, and a later candle requiring nearly six points of risk. The broader thesis can remain plausible while the available execution becomes unattractive. A cleaner final bar is not automatically a better trade at any price.
Exact second-entry counting is also a method in itself. Resets, inside bars, failed attempts, and which swing counts need rules. Our indicator does not relabel two ordinary candles as an exact second entry. It simply requires a completed bearish body to occupy at least half its range during a qualifying retest.
The supportive EMA defaults to 21 in this original baseline; the supplied session transcript does not state its length explicitly. An adjustable default does not turn it into a recovered source setting. Its slope is a local price-context check rather than a complete main-channel assessment.
A Pattern That Played Out Needs Fresh Evidence
The creator repeatedly pauses after a break and push to a new extreme. He later considers continuation when additional price action supports a bigger pattern, while acknowledging that some entries are more aggressive. This is an argument for a current structure hypothesis, not for perpetual re-entry in the same direction.
A research record should distinguish first-cycle candidates, later continuation candidates, and uncertain periods. If a later wider channel is justified only after another large move, do not use it to retroactively classify an earlier marginal setup as obvious.
The session’s strong runner is reported as a possible large excursion, with the spoken point estimate changing as the chart is reviewed. A maximum favorable move is not necessarily the realized result. Partial exits, actual fills, trailing policy, and adverse movement affect the completed trade.
The Companion Model Freezes One Broken Support
The script waits for a completed close below a known confirmed pivot low. It freezes that level and a tolerance of 0.5 prior ATR by default. A separate later candle must overlap the level area and the EMA, close below both, have a bearish body occupying at least half its range, and occur with a falling EMA.
A close above the frozen level plus tolerance or a twenty-bar deadline cancels the candidate. A qualifying response consumes it. New breaks cannot overwrite an active candidate, and replacement waits until a later bar. This one-at-a-time policy omits overlapping retest opportunities by design.
Confirmed pivots are stored after the current bar’s decision checks. The chart therefore does not act as if the pivot was known at its original low. The EMA remains visible regardless of whether a full response qualifies, and the panel reports the waiting state.
There are no orders or account results. The script does not implement a channel-completion rule, overshoot filter, higher-tick-chart context, or a room-to-scalp threshold. Those are important omissions, not minor cosmetic details.

What This Indicator Shows
The overlay displays its supportive EMA, the latest confirmed low, and a frozen broken-support candidate. A down triangle marks a separate completed bearish level-and-EMA response. The default proximity, body fraction, and deadline are original measurable choices. Standard candles and sufficient history are required. The reference plots and status remain visible when no marker qualifies.
What This Indicator Does Not Show
It does not draw the creator’s channels, count exact second entries, identify played-out market cycles, quantify overshoots, verify a 10,000-tick view, or determine the next obstacle. It cannot establish A+ probability or realized runner size. A completed-close marker is later than a possible intrabar trigger, and no fills, protective orders, targets, or trailing outcomes are simulated.
Setup and Validation
Paste the complete code into TradingView’s Pine Editor, save it, and add it to the chart. Use the chart type, timeframe, and context described above, then inspect the status panel and reference plots before expecting a marker. Use Once Per Bar Close for the supplied alert conditions and recreate alerts after changing code or settings. No alert submits an order.
Validation status: Statically reviewed for completed-bar timing, source-versus-proxy distinctions, future-data use, state behavior, reference replacement and expiry, and visible output. This code has not been compiled or chart-tested in TradingView here. No historical performance or live-execution results are claimed. Use replay to check the described behavior and report any compiler or runtime message exactly.
Practice: Record the Rejected Setups
Replay one session with outcomes hidden. Save each channel interpretation and its availability time. For every baseline marker or manually considered entry, write the cycle stage, signal quality, trigger status, obstacle, and available reward. Preserve rejected examples that later work and accepted examples that lose. The goal is consistent decisions rather than a perfect retrospective explanation.
Research and Comparison Lab
These are original proposed experiments, not results established by the source. Change one main feature at a time, retain failures and missing opportunities, and reserve later observations for evaluation rather than repeatedly selecting rules from the same outcomes.
Does the EMA overlap add information?
Compare the same broken-support retest candidates with and without the EMA proximity and direction requirement. Keep pivots, response definition, deadline, management, and costs fixed. Record candidates excluded and delay rather than equate fewer markers with better quality.
What does a room filter change?
Premark obstacles before entry and compare fixed minimum space-to-risk requirements such as 0.5R, 1R, and 1.5R. Keep the rest of the candidate set and exit model unchanged. Count excluded winners as well as avoided losses.
Can the cycle classification be reproduced?
Have two reviewers classify the same hidden-outcome candidates as active, played out, or uncertain under a written channel rubric. Record agreement before comparing subsequent behavior. High disagreement indicates a definition problem rather than reliable predictive discretion.
Check Your Understanding
Does overshoot automatically mean take the opposite side? No. The source often waits instead.
Does the indicator count exact second entries? No. It isolates level-and-EMA response.
Can a later third swing be assumed known earlier? No. Confirmation timing matters.
Is favorable excursion the same as realized profit? No. Management and execution determine realization.
Does the code verify room before nearby support? No. That source filter remains a separate manual decision.
Final Takeaway
The source’s confluence is useful when its pieces describe the same live structure and feasible entry. Keep channel timing, cycle stage, signal quality, and obstacle distance visible, then study the simpler retest baseline without mistaking it for the entire discretionary method.
